About Cancer Epidemiology

Welcome to the website for Cancer Epidemiology: the international journal of cancer epidemiology, detection and prevention. Cancer Epidemiology is led by Editor-in-Chief, Eve Roman (University of York, UK). Professor Roman is assisted by Associate Editors, Yan-gao Man (US), Jane Green (UK) and Lucy Carpenter (UK).

Cancer Epidemiology is indexed in PubMed/MEDLINE, the Science Citation Index Expanded, Current Contents/Clinical Medicine, and the Journal Citation Reports. Unlike most other Elsevier journals, Cancer Epidemiology does not yet have a full Impact Factor. This is due to the change in the title of the journal from Cancer Detection & Prevention to Cancer Epidemiology, which took place in 2009. The current Impact Factor of 1.182 only measures the number of citations received in 2010 to articles published in Cancer Epidemiology in 2009. Cancer Epidemiology will receive its first full Impact Factor, which will measure the number of citations in 2011 to articles published in 2009 and 2010, in June 2012.

Professor Roman and the Editorial Team would like to invite you to submit your work to Cancer Epidemiology. The average time from acceptance of a manuscript to online publication as an Article-in-Press is four weeks, ensuring your work is rapidly available to our international readership in both print and online editions.
